*Please note that the amount of each meat you receive may vary slightly. Although we APPROXIMATE, for example, that you receive 100 pounds of beef—you may instead receive 99, or perhaps 101 pounds. We adjust your total price accordingly.

The following gives you an ESTIMATE of what exact cuts you will receive for each animal protein:

BEEF cuts include 4-6 ribeyes (delmonico), 4-6 new york strips, 3-4 filet mignons (tenderloin filet), 2-3 sirloin steaks, a flank steak, a skirt steak, 3-4 tenderized round steaks, 35-45 ground beef packages (each package is 1 pound and is 85% lean), a brisket (3-4 pounds), 3-4 chuck roasts (each package is 2-3 pounds), a sirloin tip roast (2-3 pounds), a rump roast (2-3 pounds), a round roast (2-3 pounds), 2-3 short ribs (each package is 1-2 pounds), 4 stew meat packages (each package is 1 pound), 4 packages of shanks/soup bones (each package is 1-2 pounds).

PORK cuts include 2 smoked ham roasts (each package is 3-4 pounds), 4-6 smoked ham steaks, 8-10 packages of smoked, sliced bacon (each package is 1 pound), 2-3 shoulder roasts (each package is 3 pounds), a pork loin roast (3 pounds), 8-12 packages of boneless pork chops (each package contains 2 chops), a whole tenderloin, baby back ribs, spare ribs, 8-12 packages of bulk ground breakfast sausage, and 8-12 packages of bratwurst sausages.

CHICKEN cuts include 12 whole chickens (each chicken is 4-5 pounds).

The total cost of the Family Freezer Share is calculated by weight. Each meat variety (beef, pork, chicken) will have their own, SEPARATE price per pound. The totals of each will then be added up to form your Total Cost.

• ALL beef will be priced at 15.08 USD per pound.
• ALL pork will be priced at 13.99 USD per pound.
• ALL chicken will be priced at 6.00 USD per pound.

Because we don’t know the EXACT weight of your order just yet, we can’t give you an exact cost.

Though, we APPROXIMATE your share will include somewhere around 100 pounds of beef, 70 pounds of pork, and 55 pounds of chicken.

So:

• If your order has 100 pounds of beef: your total for beef is 1508 USD.
• If your order has 70 pounds of pork: your total for pork is 979.30 USD.
• If your order has 55 pounds of chicken: your total for chicken is 324 USD.

These totals are then added up to form your total cost, which in this hypothetical case where your order includes exactly 225 pounds of meat, would be: 2811.30 USD.

To secure your order with your free freezer, you must place a 1000 USD deposit at checkout. Then, on the day of delivery for your share and freezer, you will be charged the remaining amount.

So, using our hypothetical example, your total cost comes down to ONE payment of 1000 USD at the time of placing your order, and ONE more payment of 1811.30 USD on the day you receive your order and free freezer, for a total of two payments, spread out.

Realistically, this share can last you anywhere from 4-10 months, depending on the size of your family and your meal size/frequency.

Hypothetically, if you have a family of four, use about half a pound of meat per person for every meal, and make use of the Family Freezer Share for meals EVERY DAY (7 days a week), then it will last your family up to 3-4 months. (Using 2 pounds of meat daily.)

On the other hand, if you’re only feeding two people, while following the same eating habits above, it will last you twice as long: up to 7-8 months. (Using 1 pound of meat daily.)

Of course, this will vary on whether your family eats meals made from the Family Freezer Share less frequently (perhaps only 3-4 times a week), or on your portion size.

Well...Possibly. Although a 7 cu. ft. freezer should hold over 245+ pounds of meat, after attempting to fit all ~225 pounds of the Family Freezer Share into the freezer ourselves, we found that it was only able to hold around 200 pounds of meat. (This may vary depending on how skilled you are at fitting meats in a freezer to maximize storage capacity.) I guess that’s a testament to the overflowing abundance of meat you’re getting. Anyways, expect to fit around 200 pounds of your share into your free freezer, and make sure you have a bit of extra freezer space at home to accommodate a bit more meat if it all doesn’t manage to fit. Or if anything, just put the extra meat in the fridge and thaw it out for dinner :).

During checkout, you will choose between TWO possible delivery dates. You may choose to receive your share and freezer on 1) the week of December 15th, right before Christmas (this delivery date has more limited availability due to limited supply — if you want to ENSURE you get yours before Christmas, I implore you to order now), or on 2) the week of January 14th, right after New Year’s.
