Maple Balsamic Glazed Roast
This recipe beautifully balances rich, savory beef with the natural sweetness of maple syrup and the tang of balsamic vinegar. It’s perfect for cozy family dinners or fall gatherings and requires little hands-on prep time.

Ingredients

  • (2-4 lb.) Roast (Chuck, Tri-Tip, Rib, etc.)
  • (2 cups) Beef Bone Broth
  • (3 ct.) Carrots (cut into chunks)
  • (1 ct.) Onion (sliced)
  • (2 ct.) Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • (2 tbsp.) Olive Oil
  • (1/4 cup) Maple Syrup
  • (2 tbsp.) Balsamic Vinegar
  • (1 tsp.) Dried Thyme
  • (1 tsp.) Dried Sage
  • (n/a) Salt
  • (n/a) Pepper

Directions

STEP ONE: PREHEAT OVEN

-Preheat oven to 375°F

STEP TWO: PREPARE ROAST OF YOUR CHOICE

-Season your roast of choice generously with salt, pepper, and any family favorite seasonings.

-In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. 

-Sear the roast on all sides until browned, then remove and set roast aside.

STEP THREE: SAUTÉ VEGGIES

-Sauté onions and carrots in the same pot for 3–4 minutes until lightly golden.

STEP FOUR: COMPLETE THE PICTURE

-Add beef broth, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, garlic, thyme, and sage to the pot.

-Stir and mix.

-Add your roast back into this pot.

    STEP FIVE: COOK

    -Transfer to oven.

    -Cook for 3–3½ hours, until meat is fork-tender.

    STEP FIVE: SERVE

    -Slice or shred the roast.

    -Serve with the vegetables and sweet-savory glaze.
